Etain Hickey is a ceramic artist specialising in highly decorated lustered ceramics. Etain’s love of colour and pattern is alive in her ceramic wall dishes, richly glazes and decorated and often incorporating gold. Themes exploring the rhythm of nature, the passage of time, and landscape, provide inspiration for her earthenware dishes. She is widely exhibited, with recent exhibitions in London, Brussels and Ireland. Winner of the ‘Irish Contemporary Ceramics 2014 Outstanding Achievement Award’, Etain’s pieces are widely sought after and represented in private and public collections including the Crafts Council of Ireland, The Ulster Museum and Fujita Museum Japan.
