Valerie Walsh was educated in National College of Art and Design (NCAD) and lived in Spain for 12 years. Valerie was the former director of the Blackbird Gallery in Kilkenny, and now concentrates her career on her own artistic work. Her current work displays high- Resolution photography mounted on aluminum plates. Valerie is inspired by finding beauty in nature and aged objects. She has a passion for urban landscape, interiors and Japanese culture. Referential to one single point in time that won’t exist in the same way ever again.
Valerie has been represented by the Royal Hibernation Academy (RHA) and the Royal Ulster Academy, of which Valerie is a regular contributor. She was the fastest ever print maker to sell out in the RHA in 2019 and has earned many awards.
