Despite his passion for art from a young age, Gregor Reid graduated in Mathematics and Applied Physics and worked as a business consultant for several years before emigrating to Australia, where Reid began to rekindle his career in art.
Reid’s depiction of the harsher elements of the Australian landscape won him several awards and he held several solo exhibitions including; Emerging artist award. South Perth (2016); Solo Exhibition, Perth Art Gallery (2017); Muswellbrook, Perth Art Prize (2019) and Featured Artist Dancing Light Gallery, Edinburgh (2019)
Reid’s love of European architecture and light has encouraged his recent return to Europe. He paints exclusively in oils, experimenting with various bases, such as brass, aluminum and wood. Reid has travelled extensively through France and Spain sketching and producing artworks for sale in local markets. Reid also teaches watercolours on cruise ships.
