Jane Willoughby is a Dublin (and Kilkenny) based decorative artist specialising in hand painted panels and her work is constantly evolving and deeply inspired and connected to Art History. Qualifying first as an Interior Designer, Willoughby specialised as a decorative painter, installing large-scale mural and painted schemes in Dublin town and country houses and Country Clubs including The K Club and Mount Juliet..Willoughby completed a Degree in Art History and Heritage which providing her inspiration for her painting as an artist. Her painting concentrates on decorative panels on canvas and murals as well as individual pieces reflecting her continued fascination with decorative motifs such as Chinoiserie and Grotesques. She also experiments with painting using the decorative qualities of the Renaissance portrait: we present works of Willoughby’s beautiful paintings of young girls presented for marriage in the finest jewels and clothes. Jane's mural work have featured in the content of many interior books and including the The Sunday Times and Irish Independent, Irish homes interiors and living, (Cover story March 2018) and on Shinawil/RTE's ‘Home of the Year’ 2019.
